Overview: Dennis P. Doherty, MSN, RN, NPD-BC presents “Distance Learning Strategies to Connect with Learners, Enhance Engagement, and Optimize Outcomes ” on behalf of SGNA.

Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating distance learning programs requires specific knowledge and skills that vary greatly from the face-to-face learning environment. This program will provide an overview of strategies to engage learners when teaching from a distance and share best practices to achieve learning outcomes.

At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to:

1. Discuss roles that can be used to facilitate distance learning programs

2. Implement one technological learning application into the instructional design of a distance learning program

3. Identify at least two strategies to enhance learner engagement in distance learning environments

The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc. is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.  This course is worth 1.0 contact hour. Contact hour(s) expire on July 14, 2023
