AI Infection Prevention Champions Program

Your facility’s GI/endoscopy unit is in a position to improve patient safety and care, but it needs the tools and knowledge to lead the charge! When you sign up to become a Champion for your GI/endoscopy unit, you are making a commitment to analyze your current infection prevention practices, and identify opportunities for improvement or change. Champions learn how to complete in-depth unit risk assessments, apply survey standards from accrediting organizations and build knowledge on leading practices.

Being a Champion also provides an opportunity for your GI/endoscopy unit to become the ‘go-to’ resources for infection prevention questions. They can work with the hospital’s infection prevention committee to review processes, products, education and competencies, and train others on how to follow SGNA standards.

The Assess and Implement (AI) Champions Program guides participants to assess their current practices and implement best practices.
