Overview: Kristina Matos RN, BSN, CGRN and Karissa Weidman, MD present "Comprehensive Review of Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)" on behalf of SGNA

Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) is a minimally invasive procedure that aids in diagnosing diseases that affect the lung, including infections, cancer and inflammatory processes such as sarcoidosis.  EBUS allows for onsite pathologic evaluation and patients typically recover quickly and can go home the same day post procedure.  EBUS is an effective and accurate diagnostic tool and it is essential to be familiar with the indications, procedure, and patient care peri-procedurally.
