A review of achalasia and its current management options, particularly per oral endoscopic myotomy.
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will be able to:
1. Recognize achalasia as a disease process and patient’s symptom presentation 2. Describe per oral endoscopic myotomy as a procedure 3. Compare endoscopic options for achalasia (dilation, botulinum toxin injection and per oral endoscopic myotomy)
