Gastroenterology Nurse Practice Volume 1, Issue 2 - Short Bowel Syndrome

Learning Objectives
After participating in the activity, learners should be better able to:

· Identify appropriate nutritional strategies to temper the impact of short bowel syndrome (SBS)
· Discuss the role of pharmacologic therapies in the treatment of adult patients with SBS
· Assess the role of surgery in adult patients diagnosed with SBS
· List the most common SBS-associated complications and management strategies to address them
