Transition to Gastroenterology Nursing Practice

Overview:

The purpose of SGNA’s Transition to Gastroenterology Nursing Practice program is to supplement the content, training, and practice of those transitioning into gastroenterology nursing. 

SGNA’s Transition to Gastroenterology Nursing Practice program was developed and reviewed by GI nurses with a plethora of experience including as educators, nurse managers, Infection Prevention Champions, committee members and chairs, and board members for organizations in the gastroenterology field.

Topics included in this online, self-paced program are Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology of the Gastrointestinal Tract; Endoscopes and Accessory Equipment; Infection Prevention; Moderate Sedation; and Role Delineation in GI Nursing.
